Back to the ToyMac sign

September 7, 2013

The West Broadway Toys-R-Us store’s unique composite sign — known as the ToyMac sign, because it still includes the building’s original “Bow-Mac” sign — has been the subject of a previous post. But I’m back with more photos of the sign; this time from the back. The Toys-R-Us store has a rooftop parking lot. I’ve always treated it as private property, but the signage clearly says it’s a public pay parking lot, so I rode up the curving on-ramp to a broad expanse of parking lot, devoid of cars, littered with shopping carts, offering a back view of the ToyMac sign I have never seen before — personally, or in any postings on the Web. The dumpster Samsung camera is, I believe, afraid of the dark, but I had a go anyways. Click on the images to enlarge them.
