At 10:30 p.m. Friday night, a crew from Richmond, B.C.-based Arctic Arrow Powerline was in the alley of the 1200-block between West Broadway and 10th Avenue. They were there to replace a damaged wooden utility pole that had been earlier knocked over by a car.

A worker told me the car had run into the pole and nearly knocked it over against one of the 10th Avenue buildings on the south side of the alley. Click the images to enlarge them.
