The blue bins runneth over and over
Here’s the first in what I expect will be a series illustrating the cycle of recycling that I see in Vancouver’s Fairview neighbourhood.
This slideshow is of a blue bin set that I see every day and one that’s particularly stop-motion friendly, insofar as it provides me with a fixed place to position the camera.
In one particular way however, this bin set is far from representative. Excess boxes from these blue bins can be (and are) regularly transferred to a dedicated cardboard dumpster that the building’s custodian has access to in a gated garbage enclosure across the lane.
Still the Mixed Paper bins overflow with paper and cardboard boxes.
Never happens to the Container bin. I wonder why?
