The best things in life really are free

September 11, 2015

Yhe city of Vancouver is full of super, natural views but to my eyes there’s something especially super about the view of nature north down Oak Street from the intersection with 16th Avenue.

Whether it’s the tall stately trees or the distant and majestic North Shore mountains, I cannot say. All I know is that something draws me back to the view from this one corner again and again and again. Click the image to enlarge it.

  1. Free is good. But you still have to buy the cup of coffee..

    • True but a dangerously sensible way to see the world. Imagine if that kind if thinking caught on, then income tax cuts, say, that came at the expense of essential service cuts, wouldn’t seem so much like free money in people’s pockets, would they?

And honestly, I have to say that the Wi-Fi was stronger than the specialty coffee, which was about a nickel cheaper for each block that it was removed from West Broadway Avenue.
