Monday’s unexpected snip of a rainbow

February 23, 2016

As far as I recall, it hardly rained on Monday (February 22)–just a few minutes of light sprinkling between 1 and 2 p.m. But that was enough to create the little bit of rainbow that I saw at 3:15 p.m. in the northeastern sky over Yukon Street, a block north of 12th Avenue.

It was just a short strand of pale colours in the sky and it was only visible to me briefly; fading away completely in the time that it took me to walk two blocks, from 12th down to 10th Avenue.

But I’m very partial to rainbows, even the partial ones. Click the image to enlarge it
