Every spring is precious to a 93-year-old
Two summers ago I showcased the ivy-covered 10th Avenue side of the two-story walk-up located at 2570 Spruce Street. Today (March 7) I present a window box full of brightly coloured flowers from the building’s Spruce Street side.
The window itself dates back to the building’s original construction in 1923—even if the frame and/or the glass doesn’t. That means that this March will represent, at least, the 92nd consecutive spring watched by a tenant from this window, as well as every other window in the building.
This is my idea of a successful apartment building and I’m sure that its builders would agree with me. Click the image to enlarge it.
